DHHS gets interim director
CENTREVILLE — Charles Rose, services program manager for the Jackson County Department of Health and Human Services, will serve as the interim director for the DHHS of Cass and St. Joseph counties beginning Nov. 7, following the resignation of Faith Keathley effective Nov. 4. He was introduced to the St. Joseph County DHHS board at its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Rose has experience in Children’s Protective Services, foster care, adoption, adult services and more, as well as experience in the mental health field. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor of social work and a masters of social work.
Rose said he is looking forward to having the opportunity to work in the western and southern part of the state, especially having come from a small town.
