Views from the feather tick

To the editor:
How many of you remember grandma`s feather tick? Especially around the Christmas season with memorizing snow flakes coming down from the sky with the diamond like effect and sparkle as to call us to come outdoors to play. I don`t see many children outdoors playing in the snow, and instead glued to the TV or I phones pads or what ever they are called. No exercise or touch of magic snow flakes that land on your cold nose.
I used to place the feather tick safely close to the wood burner and TV and the grandchildren would fold right into the feathers like magic clouds surrounding their little or big bodies. We’re all children at heart, and the feather tick had the same effect on big folks. So the combination of the feeling of the comfortable feather tick, and the beauty around; we realize that family and feather ticks all go together.
May you be able to surround your selves with Love and a feather tick to balance the mind, body and spirit. Merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. No snow here in Naples, Fla.
