George G. Pratt, 83, of Celina, Tenn. and formerly of the White Pigeon area died on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.
He was born on June 10, 1936 in Chicago, Ill., the son of George and Sophie Pratt.
Pratt was employed at Owens-Illinois as a machine operator for over 30 years and was a farmer. He was active in his union, a member of the St. Joseph County Conservation Club, a member of the First Baptist Church in Celina, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Pratt was married to Louise M. VanZile on Aug. 10, 1963 in Constantine. She died on Feb. 23, 2012. He is survived by five grandchildren, John Rousch, Raquel Ellis, Robert Pratt, Justin Pratt, Megan Pratt; three great-grandchildren, Mia, Isreal, and Gordan; sister Virginia (Bill) Douglas; nieces and nephews; companion Juanita Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Betsy Rousch, son Gerald Pratt.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019 at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services will be held at noon with Rev. Steve Kaszar officiating. Interment will be held in Mottville Township Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post #170 of Three Rivers.
