FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT JR.
Franklin Delano “June Bug” Roosevelt Jr., age 65, of Coldwater, Mich., passed away at Ascension Borgess Hospital on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019.
Franklin was born on June 23, 1954 in Three Rivers, Mich., son of Franklin D.R. White Sr. and Vera L. Pope.
Franklin Jr. his early childhood years up until the age of nine in Billings, Montana and Madrid, Spain where his father was enlisted in the United States Air Force. Franklin Jr. attended Three Rivers Public Schools and graduated from High School in 1973 later enlisting into the United States Army. He was a former member of Bethel Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and participated in other musical groups with childhood friend James McDuffey.
Franklin Jr. is survived by four brothers Anthony White (Lucinda) Greer of South Carolina, Carl White (Rebecca) of Danville, Kentucky, Tim White (Jalondra) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Simeon White (Janette) of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Felicia White Cochran, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Pamela K. White of Sturgis, Mich., and Sherry A. White-(Pope-Dixon) of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Special cousin Gilbert Richard III of Riverside, California; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Preceding Franklin Jr. in death are mother Vera L. White; grandmothers Una J. Jackson and Rosetta White; grandfathers, Clarence Pope Sr.; Bishop Charles White Sr.; and niece Anitra K. White.
